The Ascension of the Lord: Jesus is with us Always
The Ascension of the Lord reminds us that Jesus, after His Resurrection, returned to the Father in glory, just as He promised His disciples. Yet He did not abandon His Church. Before ascending, He told them: “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20).
Christ now reigns at the right hand of the Father and continues to guide His people through the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and the Eucharist. In a world filled with fear, confusion, and uncertainty, the Ascension gives us hope: our final destiny is not earthly success, but eternal life
with God. Until that day, Jesus sends us to be His witnesses by living with faith, love, mercy, and courage in our daily lives.
La Ascensión del Señor: Jesús siempre esta con nosotros
La Ascensión del Señor nos recuerda que Jesús, después de su Resurrección, volvió al Padre en la
gloria, tal como lo había prometido a sus discípulos. Sin embargo, no abandonó a su Iglesia. Antes de ascender al cielo, les dijo: “Yo estaré con ustedes todos los días” (Mateo 28,20).
Cristo ahora reina a la derecha del Padre y continúa guiando a su pueblo por medio del Espíritu Santo, la Palabra de Dios y la Eucaristía. En un mundo lleno de miedo, confusión e incertidumbre, la Ascensión nos da esperanza: nuestro destino final no es el éxito terrenal, sino la vida eterna con Dios. Mientras llega ese día, Jesús nos envía a ser sus testigos viviendo con fe, amor, misericordia y valentía en nuestra vida diaria.
