OUR PROTECTOR
Today’s readings invite us to recognize our need for one who ensures our safety, nourishes us, and leads us to peace and security, like sheep who rest in the care of a good shepherd. Such a shepherd will protect and save the sheep, even from the most deadly of predators. Today, we ponder the incredible news that Jesus accepted death on the cross in order to open the gates of eternal life with God for us. Through his resurrection, Jesus protects and saves us from the power of sin and death. We need only accept his love and live as God’s people in this life, relying on the Lord who is the door to new life for us and for all.

NUESTRO PROTECTOR
Las lecturas de hoy nos invitan a reconocer nuestra necesidad de alguien que garantice nuestra seguridad, nos alimente y nos conduzca a la paz y la seguridad, como ovejas que descansan al cuidado de un buen pastor. Un pastor así protegerá y salvará a las ovejas, incluso de los depredadores más mortíferos. Hoy reflexionamos sobre la increíble noticia de que Jesús aceptó la muerte en la cruz para abrirnos las puertas de la vida eterna con Dios. Con su resurrección, Jesús nos protege y salva del poder del pecado y de la muerte. Sólo tenemos que aceptar su amor y vivir como pueblo de Dios en esta vida, confiando en el Señor, que es la puerta de la vida nueva para nosotros y para todos.
