Are You Thirsty?
We live in a world that offers us everything — and yet so many people feel empty inside. We scroll, we shop, we stay busy, we chase success — and still, at the end of the day, something is missing. Deep down, every human heart carries a thirst that nothing in this world seems to fully satisfy.
Saint Augustine knew this feeling well. He tried everything before he finally found God — and then he wrote these unforgettable words: “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.”
The woman at the well in today’s Gospel is all of us. She had been searching for happiness in all the wrong places — and she was tired. But then Jesus sat down beside her, looked at her with complete love, and offered her something no one had ever offered before.
Not judgment. Not pity. But living water — a deep, lasting joy that the world cannot give and cannot take away.
And she was so transformed that she dropped her water jar and ran to tell everyone she knew.
That is what a real encounter with Jesus does. It does not just fill us — it overflows into everyone around us.
This Lent, let us stop running to empty wells. Let us bring our real thirst — our loneliness, our worries, our longing for meaning — and place it honestly before the Lord.
He is already at the well. He is already waiting. And the water he offers will never run dry.

¿Tienes Sed?
Vivimos en un mundo que nos ofrece de todo y sin embargo, tanta gente se siente vacía por dentro. Miramos el celular, compramos cosas, nos mantene mos ocupados, perseguimos el éxito y aun así, al final del día, algo nos falta. En el fondo, cada corazón humano carga una sed que nada en este mundo logra saciar del todo. San Agustín conocía muy bien ese sentimiento. Lo intentó todo antes de encontrar a Dios y entonces escribió estas palabras inolvidables:
“Nos has hecho para Ti, Señor, y nuestro corazón está inquieto hasta que descanse en Ti.”
La mujer junto al pozo en el Evangelio de hoy somos todos nosotros. Ella había buscado la felicidad en todos los lugares equivocados y estaba cansada. Pero entonces Jesús se sentó a su lado, la miró con amor completo, y le ofreció algo que nadie le había ofrecido antes. No un juicio. No lástima. Sino agua viva una alegría profunda y duradera que el mundo no puede dar ni puede quitar.
Y ella quedó tan transformada que dejó su cántaro y corrió a contárselo a todos.
Eso es lo que hace un verdadero encuentro con Jesús. No solo nos llena desborda hacia todos los
que nos rodean.
Esta Cuaresma, dejemos de correr hacia pozos vacíos. Traigamos nuestra sed real nuestra soledad,
nuestras preocupaciones, nuestro anhelo de sentido y pongámosla honestamente ante el Señor.
Él ya está junto al pozo. Él ya está esperando. Y elagua que ofrece jamás se agotará.
“Vengan y vean.” — Juan 4:29
