THE INEXPRESSIBLE MYSTERY
The God of the universe is mysterious. Science has not been able to solve the mystery of how the universe came into being or explain exactly what continues to give it creative energy and masterful design. No religion asserts that it has found words to name fully the ineffable mystery of God, for no matter what name we use, God always transcends our limited ability to understand.
God is a mystery to be believed, not known. And yet, we Christians believe that our name for God best expresses that inexpressible mystery: God is the Most Holy Trinity of three persons united in a communion of love, pouring forth that creative, saving, sanctifying love into the world. Today’s scriptures celebrate the mystery of the Trinity and give us clues for living that mystery in our lives.

EL MISTERIO INEXPRESABLE
El Dios del universo es misterioso. La ciencia no ha sido capaz de resolver el misterio de cómo el universo llegó a ser o explicar exactamente lo que sigue para darle energía creativa y diseño magistral. Ninguna religión afirma que ha encontrado palabras para nombrar plenamente el inefable misterio de Dios, ya que no importa el nombre que usemos, Dios siempre trasciende nuestra capacidad limitada de entender. Dios es un misterio para creer, no se sabe. Y sin embargo, los cristianos creemos que nuestro nombre para Dios expresa mejor ese inexpresable misterio: Dios es la Santísima Trinidad de tres personas unidas en una comunión de amor, derramando ese amor creativo, salvador y santificador en el mundo. Las escrituras de hoy celebran el misterio de la Trinidad y nos dan pistas para clave ese misterio en nuestras vidas.
