“Do not be afraid”, repeatedly says the Lord! Our faith requests that we trust in the Divine providence of God in all time, not only during peace times, but overall during difficult moments. “Do not be afraid” says the Lord, and these words dispel the anxious darkness of our hearts. “Do not be afraid” the Lord requests even with a little faith, like a mustard seed, He can satisfy our requests.
As we are evacuated from the area, let us keep our hearts lifted up to the Lord, and give thanks for the gift of life. This is the time to be positive and confident that after the storm there is a calm, we need to not give up in our trust and confidence in the Lord. As we know, fire season in risk fire areas are a natural yet unpredictable combination, but our faith and readiness will always guide us to a safer place, even in difficult circumstances. Today we know we are okay but let us not give up in our prayers and in helping each other, because together in the grace of God we can transform every event in a richer human experience that makes us better persons, families and communities.

“No tengan miedo” repetidamente dice el Señor. Nuestra fe nos demanda confianza en la divina providencia en todo momento, no solo en tiempos de paz sino especialmente en momentos de extrema dificultad. Cuando el Señor nos dice “No tengan miedo” sus palabras discipan la obscura realidad de nuestra ansiedad de nuestros corazones. “No tengan miedo” nos pide el Señor, requiriendo un poco de fe aunque sea como una pequeña semilla de mostaza para responder a nuestras peticiones.
Ahora que estamos evacuados de nuestros hogares, mantengamos elevados los corazones al Señor y demos gracias por el don de la vida. Este es tiempo de mantenernos positivos y confiados de que despues de la tempestad viene la calma, solo tenemos que mantenernos firmes en la fe y confianza en el Señor. Como sabemos en temporada de fuegos en una zona de riesgo de fuegos es una impredecible, natural e incierta combinacion, pero nuestra fe y preparacion siempre nos guia a un lugar seguro y mejor aun en circunstancias dificiles como esta.
Hoy sabemos que estamos bien y estaremos bien, no dejemos de elevar nuestras oraciones y ayudarnos mutuamente, porque juntos en la gracia de Dios podremos transformar cualquier situacion en una rica experiencia que nos haga mejores personas, familias y comunidades.
