Blue Mass Invitation
On behalf of the Most Reverend Robert Vasa, we extend this year’s invitation to the annual Diocesan Blue Mass. It will be held on October 13, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Eugene Cathedral.
For 90 years, Catholics have celebrated a Blue Mass to honor service and offer special intentions and petitions for the safety of police officers and subsequently, firefighters, paramedics and even military service personnel. This is an opportunity to be reminded of the sacrifices involved in serving others and the challenges to our security and freedoms that so many men and women in our own communities rise to face. Many will not be able to attend due to the large geographic jurisdiction of the Diocese. Please consider the prayer sessions for these first responders on October 13th as a means of uniting the intentions of the Blue Mass in the Cathedral with your Parish to unite prayers throughout the Diocese.
Invitacion a la Misa Azul
En nombre del Reverendísimo Robert Vasa, extendemos la invitación de este año a la Misa Azul Diocesana anual. Se celebrará el 13 de octubre de 2024 a las 10:30 horas en la Catedral de San
Eugenio.
Durante 90 años, los católicos han celebrado una Misa Azul para honrar el servicio y ofrecer intenciones especiales y peticiones por la seguridad de los oficiales de policía y, posterior
mente, de los bomberos, paramédicos e incluso personal del ser vicio militar. Esta es una oportunidad para que se nos recuerde los sacrificios que implica servir a los demás, y los desafíos a nuestra seguridad y libertades que tantos hombres y mujeres de nuestras propias comunidades se levantan para enfrentar. Muchos no po drán asistir debido a la gran jurisdicción geográfica de la Diócesis. Por favor, considere las sesiones de oración para estos socor ristas el 13 de octubre como un medio para unir las intenciones de la Misa Azul en la Catedral con su Parroquia como una forma de unir las oraciones en toda la Diócesis
