It is with our heartfelt gratitude, we announce that after more than six years of service, our Director of Religious Education (DRE), Pat Giacomini, has retired. Pat, a resident of Middletown, came to us from Queen of Peace in Clearlake. She has supported our parish families with her caring and understanding and has been the one constant and stable figure of our Religious Education Program, under the guidance of three Pastors. Her professionalism and hard work has crafted a Religious Education program that supported more than 1,000 children for Sacramental preparation during her time at St. Mary Immaculate and St. Peter. Pat will be missed by our catechists, volunteers, students and families. We wish Pat happiness and luck in her retirement.
It is our pleasure to announce that Judy Salmeron has accepted the position of DRE. Judy and her husband Jesus (both originally from Mexico) have been residents of Lake County for 30 years. They have three children, two of which have graduated from California Universities and a third who is in 8th grade. Judy has taught catechism, at St Mary Immaculate, for the past 3 years and volunteered for two prior years. She is looking forward to assisting our parish children and families in growing their Catholic faith. Let us welcome Judy and support her as our new Director of Religious Education.
